Direttore dell’Unità Operativa di Neonatologia e Terapia intensiva neonatale della Fondazione MBBM – Monza e Bianza per il Bambino e la Sua Mamma. Capo Dipartimento Materno Infantile dell’Ospedale San Gerardo di Monza 2000 al 2009, dove ha iniziato la propria attività nel 1978 come assistente medico. Durante questo periodo, il Dott. Tagliabue ha dato grande impulso all’attività clinico assistenziale e di ricerca nel campo delle malattie del neonato e del bambino oltre che di profonda innovazione dell’architettura e delle tecnologie del reparto.

Attività didattica

Professore di Neonatologia presso la Università agli studi di Milano e presso l’Università di Milano Bicocca. Docente del Master di Neonatologia promosso dalla Università agli studi di Milano.

Cariche istituzionali

Il Dott. Tagliabue ha ricoperto numerose cariche all’interno di Società Scientifiche:

  • Presidente della Sezione Lombarda della Società Italiana di Neonatologia dal 2015
  • Membro del consiglio direttivo della Società Italiana di Neonatologia dal 2009 al 2012.
  • Membro della Commissione Rischio Clinico delle Società Italiane di Neonatologie e Pediatria dal 2011 al 2013

Ricerca

Il Dott. Tagliabue ha da sempre contribuito alla ricerca scientifica internazionale in ambito neonatale. Ha pubblicato oltre 40 articoli su riviste internazionali “peer reviewed” tra cui Pediatrics, Journal of Pediatrics, Pediatric Research e Critical Care Medicine. Gli ambiti di ricerca sono le malattie respiratorie, i disturbi della nutrizione, la retinopatia della prematurità e lo sviluppo comportamentale del neonato fisiologico.

Inoltre, per favorire la ricerca, il Dottor Tagliabue ha promosso l’istituzione di:
